Omega is one of the most recognizable watch brands in the world, a status that has come thanks in part to names like Seamaster and Speedmaster. But the brand has a history and catalog that stretches far beyond those names, and watches like this ref. 2639.14 are a great example that you don't need one of those line names on the dial to have a classic, beautiful, fantastic piece. 

CASE & BRACELET

The early and beautiful stainless steel case features long, broad lugs that slightly taper, giving the watch a much larger presence than the advertised case diameter. The case shows honest signs of light use and appears The case retains its original mushroom-style Omega "flat foot" crown. The screw-down case back shows light signs of use and is in wonderful condition. The watch comes supplied on a two-piece handmade leather strap. 

DIAL & HANDS

The aged white dial with gold Arabic numerals is in beautiful condition and has taken on a lovely warm patina throughout the dial. The dial does show light age which is expected for watches from this era and under U.V. light inspection the majority of the radium lume has been removed from the dial. The original gold dauphine hands are in excellent condition and show no degradation in the lume which has aged to a dark patina. The sub-sweep second's hand is original and shows oxidation which is common for the age of the watch.

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch is keeping time, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
