The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt.   

This early execution Ref. 1603 Datejust form 1961 features a rare engine turned bezel referred to as the "Bamboo" bezel is only seen on early examples. accompanied by the original "SWISS" only pie pan dial with radium lume. This specific piece is loved by enthusiast and would make a great addition to any collection.

SPECS

CASE & BRACELET

 The previously polished case retains full, even lugs that show light wear from use. The original stainless steel "Bamboo" style engine turned bezel has been previously polished as well showing no patina or wear from use. The case back is stamped I.61. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc leather strap of your choice.

DIAL & HANDS

The wonderful silver pie pan "SWISS" only dial have taken on a wonderful warm coloration and an excellent speckled patina throughout the dial. The radium lume plots have taken on a dark patina and under U.V. light inspection they remain fully intact. The original radium "alpha" style hands are in excellent vintage condition and match the lume plots perfectly. Under U.V. light inspection the hands show as fully intact with no degradation. The silver date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.

None. Watch was just serviced and running at COSC spec. The watch will come with a 1-year warranty of accurate timekeeping.
